Seemingly, I had to relive the terrifying ordeal of his hurtful words. No matter what he said, the old topic about me being the biggest loser was fatally thrown in. The unavoidable momentary scene of me being the only object of ridicule and scorn couldn’t be more familiar. Drowned in the last dreadful memories at the cafe, I was simply unable to utter a sound. And I knew, all useless, whatever the sound might be.
